How many of you guys have experienced wheel hop in your rides? I would bet money the site admin has.

I have uber amounts of wheel hop as some of the members here have witnessed... Honestly, I think it has to do with the cold temps and the tire itself. Towards the end of last Summer when it was nice and hot and I had fresh new rubber on, I didn't have any wheel hop but in this cold weather I get wheel hop whenever I'm doing 1st gear pulls unless I do a burnout to heat the rubber up.

As far as motor/trans mounts breaking due to wheel hop, that's new to me. scratch I've only heard of rear diffs exploding...

FWD is notorious for wheel hop.. i have solid motor/trans mounts (rattles like a bitch) and i still get a little wheel hop.. but like david said, its prolly due to cold roads.. i am sure when i get to the track (with the slick) there will be zero wheel hop..

My buddy has already Broke a mount in his viper because of this . From what I've read, solid motor mounts and poly trans mount will take care of this.

My buddy with an '06 coupe did both those mods but it was to make shifting smoother iirc... He road races his piece lol.

That's pretty scary though. I'm gonna have to look into swapping out mounts now hahaha

I found that same tranny mount (poly) but for the motormounts i couldnt find any. We are wanting Solid motor mounts not poly. I might just have to make them.
